According to the RIAA, total shipments of VOODOO LOUNGE to retail exceeded 2.5 million in the U.S. Soundscan, which monitors actual copies purchased by consumers, puts that number at 2 million. Virgin Records confirms that VOODOO LOUNGE sold in excess of 5 million copies worldwide. It is the third biggest selling STUDIO album by the Stones behind SOME GIRLS and TATTOO YOU...
NO SECURITY sold slightly more than 300,000 copies in the U.S. to consumers according to Soundscan. I haven't seen RIAA figures to units shipped, but I would guess it was certified gold (500,000). Those numbers are probably double for worldwide sales...

: I think your numbers are way off. VL and NS did not sell that many copies combined.
