You know what Stones song quite surprisingly reminds me of "Star Star"?
"Flight 505" from AFTERMATH. Maybe it's the manner in which Mick phrases the lyrics, but when I hear "Flight 505," I think of that most notorious, but most enjoyable, tune concluding GOATS HEAD SOUP.
A further remark about "Star Star": I recently purchased a C.D. titled PURE '70's which has Carly Simon's song "You're So Vain" (1971), which I like to think of as "Mick's song, with Carly Simon on lead vocals." But anyhow, I noticed one phrase in "You're So Vain," is: "we made a pretty pair," which, of course, later is heard in "Star Star."
Mick and Carly --- NOT exactly what I'd consider to be a "pretty pair."
Also, I've always just assumed that at some point along the way probably bagged Ms. Simon --- but is there any factual substantiation to my suspicions?
