Hey RO -- a blast from the past!
I noted in the foreward of A Life on the Road, it was mentioned that the Stones once traveled via private 747, but because smaller airports couldn't handle the pressure, they switched to a 737.
So perhaps the '72 tour was a 737 as you noted.
Not sure about a name for the plane, though.
But considering Keef's boat was Mandrax, I would think the jet was properly named.
As for pilots -- I'm sure they hired straight-laced types.
Had lunch at Cap City today, thought of you, the others, and that March nite in DC!
