I think virtually everybody was expecting more
from the band on that tour.

Even though it was only 90 minutes, I dug it.
No frills, just balls out rawk.
They definitely had an edge.

Also think that Mick, Keef and Woody were major
cokeheads back then, which no doubt led to some
erratic performances.

Dunno about starting on time after '78 though.
Had to wait an eternity in Philly '81 after Journey ("Thank you for making us the #1 Band, America !")finished.

But when Bill Graham finally bellowed "Thank you
very, very much for waiting Philadelphia.
Would you welcome please, THE ROLLING STONES !!!",
and they kicked into Under My Thumb, all was
forgiven...
