This is a tough one.

In many album vs album match-ups you've probably noticed that I always offer praise for the album I am not picking. And that praise is always sincere, even though people sometimes wonder how I am liking tracks of albums like Dirty Work.

But in this case, Tattoo You comes in second place even even though I just love it. TY Is probably just outside my top 5 or 6 albums. Its knocking at the door but just not in that tightest of groups. From its opening, truly iconic rocker Start Me Up, to its depraved sounding Slave, to Hang Fire, Little T&A, and then on to the dreamy Side B. I just adore it.

But TY just falls slightly short of GHS. Winter is one of the most beautiful Stones songs of all time. So underrated by casual fans of the band. Never once played in concert (and why?!?!?). And then there's Coming Down Again, Can You Hear The Music, and the rocking, ferocious Star Star, a song you'l always turn off at the when it plays and you're driving a family member somewhere. And lets not forget Angie, Dancing With Mr D, or Silver Train. Its just a gorgeous album of the Mick Taylor era.

So its GHS. Not by a lot. But its GHS
