Bridges To Babylon vs Tattoo You...
Well, I am writing this without having read anyone else's response. I imagine this will be a pretty contentious one. I like B2B a lot. Very underrated and has some great music on it. Its one of those meticulously crafted Stones albums with lots of extra musicians, kind of the opposite of something like a ABB or the recent blues cover album.
That said, B2B takes a backseat to Tattoo You. Tattoo You is just an unstoppable machine from the opening seconds of Start Me Up right to the last bars of Waiting On a Friend. You also get Heaven, Top, Slave, and more! -- this album delivers! Its truly an iconic album. It may not be in everyone's big 5 albums, but its truly great. Unlike some of the latter-day Stones albums it offers much more than merely one hit, which is the case with albums like Emotional Rescue and Undercover.
