Yes, it's still self-defense. Not in the way we normally think of it, but it's still that. She was still a child, and being sexually abused by him, and she felt that she couldn't escape him unless, in her mind, she killed him - and then she felt that she had to run away because of what she did. Most adults would not had fled, but would have stood their ground and explain things to the authorities. Then again, had she been an adult, this more than likely won't happened, it would have ended differently, since a teenager of 14 just doesn't think in the same way as an adult thinks.
