I had a strong yearning for "Layla," so I went on YouTube and look what lucky me found ----> Layla from the ARMS Charity Concert 1983. 😊 It was supposed to be a one-night event, but turned into a tour.
Anyway, what an all star cast: Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, all three Yardbirds guitarists (first time all 3 performed on stage together,) Steve Winwood, Ray Cooper, Kenny Jones, Andy Fairweather Low, and others. Also Ronnie Wood was involved with shows (not this one), don't know how many.
Is that a hell-a-va lineup or what?
This series of concerts was in support of Action into Research for Multiple Sclerosis, as Ronnie Lane was afflicted by it. He came out at the end of the show to thank everybody.
