NO to Guess Who.... but YES to non-rock acts?

The Hall is just about making money for its owners.

What I would like to know is how they function, how they choose people to enshrine.

In sports, some Halls of Fame have a component where sports writers help choose new entries. These writers don't have much to gain in the process and their vote counts. Does the Rock Hall do this?
