RE: RE:: staying home (nsc)

To Shattered, damn, I thought I had it bad in Catholic school for the 3 years that I went, but it sounds like you had it a lot worst!

To Talya... Yeah Talya, that has happened to me on losing friends who I was once close to. Either death gets in the way of things, or they move away and you don't see then again for that reason, or they get sick and stop going out anymore, stuff like that.

I'm now entering that last mention bit myself, not being well no question has kept me at home a lot of late (and it's not like I got anything life threatening, either). I don't dislike still being around others, I actually and have always liked that, and I sure as shit haven't lost my social skills, that's something I was always better than average at. But my bladder is badly damaged and I have to wear protection because of leakage, and while that covers up any problems, try having to wear adult protection products and at the same time be comfortable wearing them. Those stupid commercials you see on the TV of the grandpa running around with his grandkids is totally ridiculous! Sure you can run around wearing that crap - but it feels like total misery wearing them too, they are as unconformable as you can imagine, and if I stay home I don't have to ever wear them. I now see that new commercial they just started to show - where the old dude is going camping.... are you kidding me? That's got to be even worst than running around with your grandkids, since you can go back into your house and remove them when you are done playing. But you can't do that while camping at 10,000 feet up in the middle of nowhere and feel okay! So these days I only do day hikes, and I guess I'll never camp out again, since after 4 failed surgeries, I've given up on having anymore of those or getting any better. If I ever did actually live to be around 90, the next 25 years or so will be very boring for sure.
