RE: RE: RE: First Rolling Stones T-shirt

There weren't a lot of rock T shirts around to buy until about 1970 or so, nothing like it is today or even like it would become by the mid to late '70s.

My first Stones T shirt sounds a lot like what Shattered's T was. Mine had the Rolling Stones in a circle and a drawing of Jagger in the middle of where their name was, as if he was coming out of the words. I must of been about 15 or 16 when I got that, and it was around '70 or so. But I wore the hell out of that shirt and had it for years. I recall it finally ripped to where I couldn't wear it anymore, just after I moved into this house, so it last until about 15 years ago or so, a very long time (over 30 years). It hadn't faded at all, not that any of my old Tee's ever do. The secret to them not fading is simple, don't ever place your T's in the dryer after you wash them if you want them to last. Let them air dry, and only wash them when you absolutely have to.
