This is the 3rd Gasland board. It started on Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at 8:15:45 AM. I can remember the week before very well, back when the second Gasland board crashed and everything that was posted on it was lost. But my old friend Tee had been already started to put a new Gasland together with me by then. He was an internet web site developer and he taught me pretty much 90% of what I know today about that stuff.
The second board I used was only running for 3 months and was a problem from the start. So I told Tee what was happening, and he knew how special this place was, as back then this was the number 1 Stones board and Stones site on the internet. Gasland and my Stones Website had been number one since January of 1999 (it had started up only 2 months earlier).
But anyway, if you want to read up more on this, you can do so on this very old page that's been offline (that is, not linked to) for years now (but I still kept it online without any links in case I wanted to link back to it one day... and I guess that day has come), so here it is: Gasland's History... It's a long read, but explains everything. Maybe in the next few months before Gasx3 closes down, I should place it's link back up since I know this question to how did this all start, will come up again.
But as far as the archives go, you can go to the page below for a breakdown from 2 of the 3 old boards that been used for this joint. Sadly, and again, the middle board that was used here for 3 months in '01, along the first 2 months of the first CGI board, were lost forever (the CGI board was lost thanks to a damn flamer and sick asshole before security was in place - the same person who killed 2 other Stones boards beforehand, including the very first ever board (Stonesworld) on the Stones own site back in '97).
