but today the younger generation has totally embraced that old look too.

That's true. I agree, but also consider the inordinate amount of tattoos. The younger (and not so younger) people of today, while they don't express themselves with long hair, they do have tattoos, and body piercings, to I guess show they don't want others telling them what they should look like. Freedom? self expression? and some degree of rebellion perhaps?

I've always been afraid of needles, do no tattoos & body piercings for me! Plus for me it's been the short haired look for 41 years now, as long hair on me is just a disaster. I tried and I tried but long hair is an abysmal failure. (I'm ugly anyway Ronnie! 👹)
