Any favorite "holy trinities"?

Spelled with a small 'h' and 't'. 😉

Excluding The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, are there any artists who have released THREE studio albums in-a-row that you really dig? No compilations and no live albums. They have to be 3 studio albums in-a-row from the same artist.

I can think of a number of acts who have released TWO back-to-back albums that I love, but they don't have that elusive third-in-a-row.

Examples are Queen with 'A Night At the Opera' and 'A Day At the Races'. --- Bob Seger with 'A Stranger in Town' and 'Against the Wind'. --- Kansas with 'Leftoverture' and 'Point of Know Return'.

All those above albums are near and dear to me. But none of those artists did THREE-in-a-row for me.

For 3 in a row, I can think of Bob Dylan with 'Street Legal', 'Slow Train Coming', and 'Saved' -- 3 in a row that I played to death.

Also The Who with 'Sell Out', 'Tommy', and 'Who's Next'.

So how about you. Do you have a holy trinity, that is 3 studio albums in-a-row from the same artist? (Or tripleplay? threesome? troika? triumvirate?)

--- Remember, no Beatles & Stones.
