After my wife and I watch the Elvis movie 'Flaming Star' tonight (in less than ½ hour) I'll eventually put on some music by The Elders. Their first 4 studio albums are loaded with great great songs, plus their first two live albums.
From their 2nd studio album 'Pass it Down' here's Packy Go Home.
Then their 1st live album 'The Best Crowd We Ever Had' here's Buzz's Jig which is on their 2nd studio, and here is a cover of the Steve Earle super-classic Galway Girl ---> the best rendition of this song ever!
This whole live album is excellent!!
Their first four studio albums are:
The Elders (2000)
Pass It on Down (2002)
American Wake (2004) = here's the title track
Racing the Tide (2006) = here's Gonna Take A Miracle
Believe me there are so many other awesome songs. You can end up having a YouTube mini-marathon with these guys.
However, From the 5th album on, the group kind of lost that magic. 😩
