Yes, even bell peppers! The only pepper I don't hate is Sgt Pepper (but it's still overrated).
I sometime (rarely) will cook using just a small amount of pepper in my receipts, but I do mean a small amount, very little is ever needed and too much will totally ruin the dish. My homemade Italian sauce is as good as it gets and it has zero pepper in it, it's totally unneeded, and if somebody loves pepper in their sauce, they can add it in when it's served, it's not needed in the sauce beforehand. I recall how crazy my dad was when putting it on his sauce, he would put so much pepper on his. Heck, I get indigestion just thinking back on those days watching him doing that!
I only once tried eating a jalapeņo pepper to please this girl I was dating in high school, and after taking just one bite into it, it almost killed me; I couldn't breathe for a few minutes after!
