Girl is an incredibly beautiful song, but I dig Down in the Hole just a little more because the words are saying something --- a message, and I'm a sucker for meaningful, non-guy/gal lyrics. But 'Girl' further solidifies the notion that Lennon was on a higher level of writing and creativity. A genius?? 🤔
Worried About You hands down over Little Child. WAY is the ultimate slow blue-eyed soul, and I mean SOUL evoking feelings in my stomach like no other. Perfection. A 500 foot homerun.
Talking about feelings, Ask Me Why in a word is MAGIC. God what that song does to me. Feel on Baby is a great tune, I love it. I heard Scott Muni play it before the UC album hit the stores and then I REALLY couldn't wait to get that album.
Slight edge = 'Ask Me Why'.
All I've Got To Do is good, but, Hide Your Love does a lot more for me.
Not A Second Time and Melody. Well, 1964 was a very crazy time for me personally. Beatlemania inflicted N America (in a very nice way) and I was smitten by it. NAST was part of that scene. (What an album!!!)
Ride on Baby for sure! Love that 'Flowers' album so much. Wait is well played by the fab-four. Really nice arrangement.
