I only just learned of this, as I was working on a future Rock poll for the domain, that guitarist and songwriter Danny Kirwan died less than 2 months ago from pneumonia at the age of 68. He was of course one of the founding members of Fleetwood Mac, back when they were a totally different band, playing the blues and lead by Peter Green. Kirwan was in the band from 1968 until 1972 when he became like Syd Barrett and totally lost it after taking too much LSD. He was one of 3 band members, including Green, to take that sad route into insanely. He did record a few solo LPs after that, but then totally disappeared and was even homeless for several years. He was one of the few early members of Fleetwood Mac who was inducted into the Rock Hall along with the better known band members that most know them by today.... It's very sad to learn of his passing.
