MONO vs. STEREO == I voted for Stereo, but those early Stones albums did indeed sound better in mono, not stereo. I guess stereo was still developing.
Can't vote on The Clash cause I don't know them.
That Ringo question was a lot harder than I initially thought it would be. I got my list down to two, and finally voted "With A Little Help From My Friends", just barely edging out the delightful "Octopus's Garden'.
STONES = "Now" gets my vote, as I feel that one is the best of all the early Stones albums. (All great 👍).
Finally, the 'Miss You' video. Well, as I see it, in this particular period of Stones history, Jagger was going through -- how can I say -- a time where he had this screw it all attitude, or I don't care attitude. Maybe he was rebelling against his own 'image'? Something strange was happening to him, and it sure showed in the video (and the concerts, and the SNL performance.) And I'm pretty sure he felt some kind of threat from the rising Punk movement.
I wish I possessed a more comprehensive rhetorical arsenal, but I do know this for sure ===> whatever they were going through, especially Mick, it produced one HELL of an album, and an awesome tour. That Some Girls Tour has got to be the most bootlegged tour ever.
