That album was a bit of a surprise for me, in a good way. What I mean by surprise is that with each of the 5 albums before GHS, each felt to me that I was confronted with seemingly unscaleable barriers.
Those 5 albums leading up to GHS were hard, dark, mysterious, hard to decipher the words --- especially on EOMS. No other group was like them. No bubblegum music for sure.
That's how I felt. But my age had a lot to do with it too. I was only 15 when EOMS was released, and so very green. Those albums took time for me to 'get it'.
Now comes the GHS album. What do we have here? Well, this album was also impenetrable for me at first. BUT I can decipher the words much better. It sounded cleaner. It was different in a great way. I loved it very much. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
