What a poll! I don't remember that, but my memory is terrible. If I know me, I voted "Spirit In the Sky".
I had never heard of "Black Betty" by Ram Jam, until now that I YouTubed it. Interesting facts about the Lemon Pipers and guitarist Bill Bartlett.
They were rockersactually, and that's the kind of music they wanted to play. It was the record company that forced them to play Bubblegum music. But there 2 Bubblegum albums were very good. I enjoy that kind of stuff.
I see They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Ha by NAPOLEON XIV is listed. Good.
I remember when that record was brand new, on the first day it was played like, what, every other song?
But that didn't last long as it was banned from the radio! 📻
