RE: RE: 3 Stones polls this week!

In the last few hours since you posted, a 4th vote has been recorded for B2B, so yes indeed, just how much booze does it take for somebody to be that drunk to cast such a vote?... LOL!

But another (non booze, non drug) way to look at it is - and after 982 weeks of experience in running these polls.... I know that some people just have to be totally different than everybody else when voting, and even though even they know which LP is far better, they will vote for the other LP just to look at the totals and say to themselves after they vote, 'I voted differently, my vote actually sticks out!'.... at least, that's my guess as to why one would vote in such a matter. That, or one or 2 of these 4 voters just flat out hate the Stones, and that's why they do that, as that's a possibly too. So yes, they are just making a statement in voting against what us true fas are voting for. We see this kind of vote week in and week out at the both the Stones and Beatles video polls, too. A few weeks ago when the Beatles video polls were running, for every video we voted on, more than 90% of the votes were going to the choices 7 thru 10 - and in some weeks only to choices 8 thru 10. Yet the same 2 different voters each week voted the same videos a zero or a 1 (I checked the logs, so I could see this happening each week with the same voters). Yes, their votes looked ridiculous to say the least, but damn did their votes stand out and scream "I hate the Beatles!". Now the very same thing is happening with the Stones video polls, each week there's one or 2 people who are voting all of their videos either a 1 or a 2, and they are the only ones voting in this matter. Are you gonna tell me that this week's Stones video for "Lady Jane" deserves a vote under, say a 7? Just what did the Stones do wrong on that show while playing that song to warrant a vote of only a 1? If you watch the vid, you know they pulled off the song fine, other then pre recorded music was played on the TV soundtrack instead of allowing us to hear what the band was playing live, but does that call for a rating of only a 1? Around that time, this was becoming the thing to do on TV shows, and to this day it is still done.... and on true modern day music videos - since MTV started up, 99.9% of all videos have recorded music playing instead of a live track being played. In fact, today bands don't even bother to play live anymore when they make such a video, they just pretend to be playing (and it clearly shows), whereas back in the '60s they were actually playing live, you just couldn't hear what they were playing because the recorded music from the record was used over their live music. That's just how it was done in the '60s and how it's been done for the last 30 plus years or so since true music videos have been mame. So we really can't count that fact too large when rating a video, since almost all artists do that today! But maybe one or 2 voters per poll does?

But getting back to just the 4 votes for B2B, in case anybody is wondering, and since I did bring it up in the original poll post, the record for the least amount of votes cast for one LP in these matches is 3 votes - yes, 3 votes were cast for Dirty Work against SF back in a VS poll run in 2009, with SF receiving a record high 99.2% of the vote in that week! The only difference back then was a lot less people were taking part in the voting in those days, so while B2B has already seen 4 votes on a Monday alone, with something like 4 times the voters today taking part in the polls, one extra vote so far really isn't that much more. SF this week so far has 98.1% of the vote and is only 1.2% off from setting a new record high score for these album VS polls anyway this week! At this point it's gonna be very hard id not impossible for SF to surpass that record high percentage, but as much as B2B is disliked, it's still a few light years better an LP than DW.
