Disappointed that the “extended first set of the tour” didn’t materialize.
Initial reports from people who were there in the pit are quite favorable, as opposed to some comments from YouTube and Facebook watchers, where the sound quality was from poor to awful, and they really shouldn't be judging.
First, the short 19-song set list was attributable to the heavy traffic, causing a slight delay for the headliners to come out to give time for people to get to their seats. And there was a 10:45 curfew.
Second, huge praises for Keith's playing.
Third, Ronnie's solo on SMU was weird.
Fourth, the band sounded great, tight, well-rehearsed with not much time spent between songs.
Finally, certain people in the know say the Stones will play a different deep cut in every show. Tonight it was "Neighbors".
