Yeah, in my old age I don't even want to get drunk anymore! I haven't gotten drunk in over 15 years now. After a scare with my liver back in '02, that was it for me and drinking. I haven't had more than 2 drinks at any one time since, and 95% of the time these days it's just one drink and that's it! Of course I still have a nice smoke of weed along with my drink, which helps big time to set the mood just right.
But as far as staying up late gomper, it's getting to bed early that I almost never can do. Like Saturday night, had some friends over who left real late, after midnight, then there was the meteor shower to watch after that, and anyway did the nite fly by! I got to bed finally at 830 am Sunday morning. In the old days I would have just stayed up, but not anymore, I make sure I get to bed sooner or later - no matter what the time is.
But the last time I went to bed before 3 am, gosh, it was last summer when I went on a planned 10 am morning hike the next day. But I'm up past 3am almost all nights. I just can't get off to sleep if I hit the sack earlier than that.
