Well for one I appreciate the hard work you put into these polls.
The ongoing ones give a heck-of-a-lot to think about, even past choices need to be reflected on.
The thing I don't get about the R&R Hall of Fame part is what is it that defines what can or can't qualify to get in? I personally hate all forms of rap/hip hop - it just forces me to switch off my radio immediately, or find a better channel & they have no place in it at all as far as I'm concerned.
I'll go across the trend with favourite Beatle tho' - while I go along with John being # 1 my least preferred is Paul. There's just something about him I just don't like but it's hard to put a pin on it. His attempt to get writing credits relitigated after John died is one of those things that reinforces my view.
He came down here not so along ago & I didn't make the effort to go - saw the Foo Fighters around the same time, for the first time, at the same venue but it's a 400 mile journey from where I live & Paul on his own simply didn't have the same attraction even tho' I've never seen him either. I guess a bit like the "Who" with only 2 members & likewise he still relives all the Beatles stuff on his own. I really can't think of Wings/solo stuff I'd be interested in seeing, to be fair not that I know much of it anyway.
Don't get me wrong - Lennon/McCartney is the all time best songwriting team ever in my view, by miles, but I wish I could have seen them all together.
