I always loved Lou Reed and felt he was the true brains in the band an was the only reason they made it big, at least as far as talent went. The rest were overrated and really not that great musicians. Of course, Andy Warhol had a lot to do with making them big, too, talk about a promoter/manager who did great things for the group he managed. For the VU, they never would had made it without his push.
