hypnic jerks,,, really nsc

Ive been getting these alot lately!Any other gassers get them,its where one jerks awake while sleeping or just falling asleep and i feel like im falling? Scares the snot out of me?And i thought i had one or two while i was awake and resting upstars in bed watching tv?I dont think its normal getting them while awake lying in bed watching tv waiting for sleep?I may have to make an appointment with my doctor if i was awake,,,or was i? I think i was? Hmm?Im getting afraid to sleep geez?
