Are we also supposing that the Beatles made 20 albums since 1970? And that Zeppelin also continued to record? And that Waters stayed with Floyd for many albums since The Final Cut?

All that output would only make them greater. Sure there would be clunkers and some legacy tarnishing lousy albums, but there are bound to be hits too.

I think all these bands would still be a big deal, without question. Because they are all amazing talents. Hard to say who would be #1. I suspect it would be a pendulum that would shift all over the place.
