Great rocker. They should finish this. Worked on during IORR sessions.
Mick Taylor is too low in the mix, BUT it's an outtake.
It sounds like IYCRM from same album, and a few lyrics sound like "Luxury", so I'm guessing that's why they put this in the vault. Also guessing that had the Stones decided to finish LITHOL, It would have been the opening song, and IYCRM would have went to the vaults.
Around 14 or 15 years ago a friend of mine, who's a computer WIZ, somehow knew how to get access to these secret websites, and burned for me a bootleg double-CD titled "It's Only Goats Head Soup." What a collection!!! Outtakes and unreleased stuff from those two albums, all great. LITHOL of course was on there and that's where I first heard it.
Now keep in mind YouTube was nothing like what it is today. So I uploaded the song using one of those file-uploading softwares, the free versions, I can't remember any of their names now, and I posted it here. Also alternate versions of "Hide Your Love", and "Dance Little Sister" that, to me, were even better than the official releases! 😜
I always envisioned the Stones putting together an "It's Only Goats Head Soup" kind of thing.
