Yeah, and if Mick dies of old age in 2 years, then his dad won't be there for him as he grows up, too. A kid needs his/her dad, even if so many grow up without one. If you grow up with only one parent, no matter who you are, you are at a disadvantage, and nobody can say otherwise. That's not to say a kid with only one parent won't turn out to be a good adult, most times they will/do, but they still are missing out on some things if they only got one parent around. Having both parents is almost always better for a child, unless one parent is sick in the head or a druggie/alcoholic, but most parents aren't.
