This is not going to stop, there will be many more of these to come.
Of course, this isn't even the first in rock music, about 2 weeks ago Gene Simmons got accused, and he's a big name, like him or not.
But up until now at least, this taking advantage of female fans by rockers, was common and the groupies wanted it, so it isn't really the same thing. Most of the famous rockers didn't have to sexually harass anybody, as the birds just fell out of the sky for them... (of course I'm using the English slang word there for "birds", and yes, the pun was intended). For that reason, I don't think too much will come from any of this in the rock world, as the old saying goes, you can't rape the willing, and as bad as that saying sounds in many cases, and it is usually wrong to even say, in this case with rock groupies, it's true, and I think most known it's true.
As far as this group Hedley goes, I had never heard of them before, so I looked them up on Google, and the first photo of them I see, well hell, they look like 4 businessmen, all in business suits! LOL! Gosh, the groups of today look so uncool, but then again, so do most of the teen kids of today, too. But if that's how the kids want to look today, and it is, that's their business. Yet if that's what the girls of today want their men to look like, and these guys are rock stars (they are, right?), then even they shouldn't have too much of a problem getting laid without sexually harassing anybody, you would think?
But I totally don't understand the teens of today either, and yet I'm raising one as it is. In many ways they do seem to be a step ahead of their parent's generation as far as being teens goes, but not ahead of their Babyboomer grandparents generation. Yet their great (WW2) grandparents would have totally approve of their conservative, short hair looks anyway. But still, this new kid generation that is emerging, does seems very liberal at least, so they are a lot cooler than they may look to us elders. But then again, I don't mean to sound like I'm judging a book by its cover here, either, even if I guess I am. I just don't dig what is cool today, not as far as looks goes. But I'm nothing but an old man who's time is almost up, so it doesn't matter. Yet I would love to see how my grandson's generation will look 50 years from now, and how the teens of 2068 then will look in turn. Plus yes, you can bet that sexual harassment chargers will still be around and happening in 50 years, too.
