Wow bluesboy I'm envious of your seeing the Vaughn's way back when - presumably from where you're from you'd have been seeing the early ZZ Top live as well, Billy G being a real fav of mine. Have had the opportunity to see them only a few times over the years but a really tight tight unit.
I take on board your view on Double Trouble and I guess my main issue is with the drummer, who when I did see live thought was very average & neither in the same league as SRV (like the Experience were watchable in their own right) - but hey to each their own, like I always say!
