I think the music of the 60's-70's has more staying power and quite honestly the song writing was much better, More creativity dwells in the music from that era. I too doubt a new Beatles or Stones is on and NEVER will be on the horizon.However, my parents especially my father thought Elvis and his voice was crap etc and maybe I am just as cynical thinking today's music doesn't hold a candle to the era aforementioned. For myself I love the late 50's to the mid 70's the very best
