I know Manny's topic here is best of 2017. I can't answer that, BUT, let me throw this out to the wall and hopefully something will stick. 💁♂️
Sometimes at night I put the headphones on and have a YouTube mini-marathon. It's a form of relaxing (and escaping) for me.
I've mentioned before here that I adore the accordion, and because of that I got into Irish (Celtic) music. I fell in love with The Pogues! Love 'em. (Here's a nice surprise here for you! 😃)
You know how as you're watching a video on YouTube, on the right-hand side of the screen there're suggestions and stuff? Well thanks to that I've discovered some really great Irish Punk bands.
The Clan, although I don't think they have an accordion, I still dig 'em.
And these two groups, Paddy & the Rats, and Irish Moutard, are now huge favorites of mine.
Very exciting stuff with this genre, and those two bands are especially awesome.
I haven't purchased any yet, and that's going to have to wait for now, as we have home improvements to deal with, but no doubt some great stuff like this came out in 2017.
