Even though the Stones recorded in L.A. circa 1966, and studion session players were readily available, ALO didn't need to use them much at the time given Stu's ready-to-roll ivory chops and Brian's versatility. On BSG there are marimba's present which would certainly be played by Brian. Indeed the French accordion makes this song stand out and it sounds like the work of a musician who is highly adept with that instrument. Will have to check out Darin's cover. He was a very eclectic artits who perfromed ina variety of genres over the years. This one might have been done during his latter "folkie" phase?
