Last week I ran into this thing on Youtube called "Do kids know the Beatles?", when I was doing research for a future Beatles poll. Weird that I never once seen this pop up before. I then found out that there's 2 different ones on the Beatles, and it's a series that covers a ton of other Classic Rock bands, especially old metal bands like Led Zep, etc. So many of them, yet nothing at all on the Stones!
So what it is, is they talk to modern day kids, who usually range from about 6 thru 12 years old, while they play a group's music and ask them about the band. You got to like the band in question - and kids in general, to enjoy this, but I ended up watching these over and over again, pretty much whenever a good band came up. The 2 they have on the Beatles is a bit different than the ones they have for the other bands, but all of them were funny to watch. Seems that the reaction by adults in the comment section below the video for the Beatles were very negative about the kids in how much they didn't know, but that's what made it funny to me. And who the hell is One Direction anyway (a boy band I guess)? One kid noted that they were better than the Beatles and that drew a lot of negative comments, but the hey, to these kids the Beatles were a '60s boy band, how could they know there weren't any such bands around back then?
My favorite one I almost didn't watch, since it was for Black Sabbath, who I don't care for, yet after I watched it I loved the kids reaction to that band the most. They also have adults reaction to newer music, but I only watched one of those and found it boring, since I know nothing about the new music of today. Seems that they also have other non music clips on this too, but I only watched one of them, made a year ago when Trump was running for office, and damn, if these kids are our future (and they are), mankind will be in good hands come 30 years from now! These kids seem to have more common sense than us adults had when it came to Trump, they could see directly thru him, and their age is only about 10. So that impressed me.
So anyway, here is a link to one of the 2 made about the Beatles: Do kids know the Beatles?. Plus again, how can they not have one of these made for the Stones? They seem to cover so many old rock bands yet no Stones? I would love to see the kids react to our favorite band. I know that when my kids were little, they knew both the Stones and Beatles very well. That isn't the case at all with these kids when it comes to the Beatles, yet I'll add, it appears that they got some smarter than average kids interviewed for these shows.
