BAD IDEA

Nothing good can come from this. It brings only discord. All three of the Abrahamic religions see Jerusalem as being extremely significant to their history, and in some cases, their future. To call it the property of one country is not a good idea. Plus, Israel does not always act properly and has done terrible things to Palestinians and violated international law on many occasions.

Many evangelicals in the USA have a messed up view of Israel and of the Jewish people. They want to support Israel but mainly because it somehow figures in their eschatological beliefs, which is itself a really wacky.
