Im trying to think of some metal type singers better than scott was. How about paul rogers?
He wasn't a heavy metal singer, a hard rock singer, yes, but not metal, and he was never in a metal band. Free, Bad Company, and the Firm, none of them were metal bands.
Certainly robert plant is a better singer than these two guys?
Plant was as good a metal singer, yes - but only in the studio. He just wasn't anywhere as great a singer live, and I saw Led Zep twice in their prime. But AC/DC's second singer, who's name I can't even recall, wasn't that good a singer at all, he just screamed a lot.
i dont tink either singer could ever sing a ballad very well
They only had a few ballads that I can think of, all with Scott singing. "Ride on" was the best one. Another very good one was 'There's Gonna Be Some Rockin", but that wasn't a ballad, just a slower than normal number for them to play, and again Scott was the singer on it.
