No they didn't, that and most of what they did up on stage came directly from Alice Cooper's live shows, as Cooper did all those things that KISS and other bands copied (included the makeup, KISS copied that from Cooper, although Jagger & company actually started that deal in the JJF video, as Cooper flat out said he took that look from the Stones). But the old AC band was the first Glitter/Art Rock band, one of the first New Wave bands, one of the first punk bands, and also one of the very first metal bands, too. I'm surprised that so many rock fans never realized any of that, but they were!
