RE: All time best solo album by a former Beatle?

John Lennon's Imagine LP is my favorite, with his and Yoko's Double Fantasy a close second (as long as you don't count Yoko's songs on there, and I don't, since I never listen to them, other than the bonus cut ""Walking On Thin Ice", which is very good and the very last song John ever played on and recorded, just 2 hours before his death).

Paul's best solo LP is Band on the Run, that's an easy pick for me, and it is very good indeed, although I don't know at all any of his last few releases. For Ringo, his self titled LP is excellent and clearly his best. As far as George's solo stuff, that triple LP, All Things Must Pass is a masterpiece - other than it's just a bit too long! Had that been a single LP, or even a double LP, it might be my favorite of the lot, but the longer the album went on, the poorer the songs got towards the end of it on side 3.
