I always hated him with a passion, one of the biggest lowlives to ever live. Of course he was never famous, only infamous.
What I also hated about him and the news media of the late '60s early '70s, was after he ordered his followers to kill, the moronic news media back then, which was controlled by the WW2 generation (and was moronic in those days, but isn't today) was clearly anti hippie (as most WW2 gen people were) and kept referring to his mad followers when his trial was ongoing, that he was an hippie and he ran a hippie commune. Manson was never a hippie, in fact he hated hippies and was anti hippie; just the way he ordered his people around would be a perfect example of him not being one. He ran a commune, yes, but it was a religious commune, and it was full of hate talk. Yes he and his people took a lot of the drugs that hippies were taking, and were into free love, and he tried to take advantage of some famous rock stars who saw how awful a person he was and didn't want him around them at all. Manson was really just another religious cult leader and nothing more, but he was no hippie, that for sure.
