I loved "Monster Mash" too... and I might as well note it's first release date. It first came out way back in 1962 and was a #1 hit back then. I was a preteen at the time and absolutely loved it! This might be hard to believe, but it was banned in '62 in the UK, because the Brits felt the song was "too morbid"! Unreal! In part because of that, it was re-released in '73 in the UK and went to #2 there, and because of that release, it hit the Top 10 again in the U.S. in that same year, even though it wasn't rereleased here. I believe it's also the only song to reenter the top 100 charts more than twice and in more than just 2 years, as it also hit the Top 100 in 1970 without even being rereleased.
Didn't get to hear it this year, and with Halloween now over guess I won't until next year around Halloween, since that's the only time it seems to get played now.
