One is "My Brave Face" by Paul McCartney (1989). Stupid me should have given it a fair chance. The way it started, 🎼🎼"My brave my brave my brave face🎼🎼 sounded silly and my brain just wrongly shut it off.
===============
For some strange-ass reason, 2525 by Zager & Evans didn't resonate with me at all when it was new.
What's funny about that is, even at that young age I already especially appreciated songs where the lyrics were not "guy/gal" words.
So what the hell happened here. My guess is because I was having a very hard time those growing years, "2525" seemed, I don't know, disturbing.
I love the song so much now.

One more: Don't get me wrong. It's not that I hated "A Rainy Night in Georgia" by Brook Benton (early 1970), I didn't, it's just that at that time the song was hitting my heart a little TOOO hard! It's like having to look away from the sun. I simply couldn't take that song at that time -- I had to 'look away'.
I've eventually been able to embrace it, big time.
When ARNIG was a hit, I had no idea that Brook Benton had been a major recording artist. I would learn that later. He had many many hits between 1959-1963 with a bunch of minor hits after that.
