Wouldn't arthritis act up on BOTH hands?
Nope, it depends on how you get arthritis in the first place. I first got arthritis in my left hand only, after I broke all the bones in that hand in a car wreck when I was in my early 20s. Thank goodness I took my right hand off the steering wheel just before impact or that hand would have been shattered too. But for the most part, the arthritis came directly after the left hand healed. Yet I didn't start to see any arthritis in my right hand until I hit my 50s. So yes, it can be in one hand and not in the other., But for a guy in his 70s, more than likely it's in both hands by now.
