My oldest daughter has that too! But hers is caused by a very rare form of blood cancer (called Essential thrombocythemia) that she has had for 17 years now. Normally only people over 60 get this cancer, yet it's even rare for old folks to get. She lost her right index finger to it several years ago, and last winter was really bad for her fingers. She really should live in a area where it never gets cold, since the condition with her hands only affects her in the winter. When I think of my own problems, it's really nothing compared to what she has been through.
