That's not at all true, Keith has not only talked about politics, he has in the past gone as far as writing the former Prime Minister of the UK, Tony Blair (when he was still in office), at least one time, and that's not something that somebody who doesn't care about politics, does. He seems to be all over the place these days with his political point of view, but he also hates when famous people go overboard on politics, he doesn't like pop stars to get involved publicly just because of who they are. But at the same time he does care and knows what is going down around him in politics.
As far as the Stones being dark, well yeah, but who doesn't know that? It's very old news, but proves nothing about them also being hippies. You can be several things at once, especially when there's 5 of you, well, really 7.
