LOVE to know what these lyrics are all about

Okay, for whatever reason (as you guys know) I've been on a real Goat's Head Soup kick. My music listening is very 'seasonal' and I tend to listen to certain albums at certain times of the year. GHS is very Autumnal to me, whereas IORR us all about summer. Funnily, GHS was released in August of '72 and IORR was released in December of '74.

Anyway... some of the lyrics really back up the words I've used to describe this album, which are 'druggy' and 'creepy'. It is indeed druggy and creepy but it such a beautiful and compelling way!

Any thoughts as to what some of the words of Coming Down Again are referring to:

Slipped my tongue in someone else's pie

Tasting better ev'ry time

She turned green and tried to make me cry

Being hungry it ain't no crime
