What about the 1st 4 Beatles records, Keno? And a few specific others, like the first Cream album and Pet Sounds, both of which are quite loved in Mono? Not to mention, Sgt. Pepp, Are You Experienced, and the 1st Jefferson Airplane album, which are pretty neat in mono as well?
I do agree that stereo is better 98% of the time, even when done kind of poorly. But still, the way you first heard something and the artist's vision and historical context sometimes matter, even when the other option is fully available. (By the way, I far prefer Pet Sounds in stereo even though of all the examples this one seems to get the most love for its mono version...)
