I honestly cannot understand why someone would want MONO when they have Stereo. Many great recordings of the past were done exclusively in MONO and that's all we have an we're thankful for it. I love early works by Sinatra even if in Mono. But if the very same recording is available in Stereo, why would I possibly want mono? Are they marketing in the idea that its somehow more authentic? More true to the artists vision? More original? Its none of these things are its the same recording, just all in one channel. So its really just marketing gimmickry.
