My prediction is that there will not be a war and that the international community will simply learn to live with a nuclear armed North Korea. Talking/diplomacy does no good. Sanctions... for get it! They have got to where they are in terms of their nuclear capability while literally millions of their people have starved. Would some 'grand bargain' do the trick? NO. Forget it. At this point nothing will make them turn away from their mission to be a fully fledged member of the 'nuclear club'. They probably warrant membership now.
I don't think there will be a war because I think even if Trump tries to start one, people around him will be smart enough and patriotic enough to stop him.
That said, I guess that logic suggests that if there were to be a war, now (or soon) is the time. All the ingredients are there for one. Both nations have crazy leaders, although NK's slightly less so, and there is real fear in the air. Also, NK has achieved something the at least the past 5 Presidents said would be totally unacceptable. So, yeah, there is a chance it could happen.
Problem is it would be the biggest, messiest, ugliest, bloodiest, war that the USA has been in since World War II.
